The correct use and maintenance of the battery mainly include the following 7 points:
1. Check whether the fixing bolts of the battery on the bracket are tightened. If the mounting is not secure, the housing will be damaged due to driving vibration. Also, do not place metal objects on the battery to prevent short circuit.
2. Always check whether the pole and terminal are connected reliably. In order to prevent the oxidation of the terminal, the protective agent such as Vaseline can be applied.
3. Do not use the method of direct ignition (short circuit test) to check the battery power, which will cause damage to the battery.
4. Ordinary lead-acid batteries should be regularly added with distilled water. Dry charged batteries should be properly charged before use. As for the maintenance free battery that can be added with water, it is not impossible to maintain it properly. If necessary, adding distilled water will help to prolong its service life.
5. The air hole on the battery cover shall be unobstructed. When the battery is charged, a large number of bubbles will be generated. If the air vent is blocked, the gas cannot escape. When the pressure increases to a certain extent, the battery shell will be cracked.
6. There are often yellow and white paste around the battery pole and cover, which is caused by sulfuric acid corrosion of the root column, wire clip, fixed frame, etc. The resistance of these substances is very large, so it should be timely.
7. When two batteries need to be used in series, the capacity of the batteries is equal. Otherwise, the service life of the battery will be affected.

蓄電池的正確使用和維護主要有以下7點:

1、檢查蓄電池在支架上的固定螺栓是否擰緊,安裝不牢靠會因行車震動而引起殼體損壞。另外不要將金屬物放在蓄電池上以防短路。
2、時常查看柱和接線頭連接得是否可靠。為防止接線柱氧化可以涂抹凡士林等保護劑。
3、不可用直接打火(短路試驗)的方法檢查蓄電池的電量這樣會對蓄電池造成損害。
4、普通鉛酸蓄電池要注意定期添加蒸餾水。干荷蓄電池在使用之前好適當充電。至于可加水的免維護蓄電池并不是不能維護適當查看必要時補充蒸餾水有助于延長使用壽命。
5、蓄電池蓋上的氣孔應通暢。蓄電池在充電時會產生大量氣泡若通氣孔被堵塞使氣體不能逸出當壓力增大到一定的程度后就會造成蓄電池殼體炸裂。
6、在蓄電池柱和蓋的周圍常會有黃白色的糊狀物,這是因為硫酸腐蝕了根柱、線卡、固定架等造成的。這些物質的電阻很大，要及時。
7、當需要用兩塊蓄電池串聯使用時蓄電池的容量好相等。否則會影響蓄電池的使用壽命。

蓄電池使用環境：
⑴避免將電池與金屬容器直接接觸，應采用防酸和阻熱材料，否則會引起冒煙或燃燒。
⑵使用充電器條件下充電，否則可能會引起電池過熱、放氣、泄露、燃燒或破裂。
⑶不要將電池安裝在密封的設里，否則可能會使設備浦破裂。
⑷將電池使用在醫護設備中時，請安裝主電源外的后備電源，否則主電源失效會引起傷害。
⑸將電池放在遠離能產生火花設備的地方，否則火花可能會引起電池冒煙或破裂。
⑹不要將電池放在熱源附近（如變壓器），否則會引起電池過熱、泄漏、燃燒或破裂。
⑺應用中電池數目超過一只時，請確保電池間連接無誤，且與充電器或負載連接無誤，否則會引起電池破裂、燃燒或電池損害，某些情況下還會傷人。
⑻特別注意別讓電池砸在腳上。
⑼電池的使用范圍如下。超出此范圍可能會引起電池損害。
電池的正常操作范圍為：（25℃）
電池放電后（裝在設備中）：到(-15℃到50℃）
充電后：到(0℃到40℃）
儲存中：到（-15℃到40℃）
⑽不要將裝在機車上的電池放在高溫下、直射陽光中、火爐或火前，否則可能會造成電池泄漏、起火或破裂。
⑾不要在充滿灰塵的地方使用電池，可能會引起電池短路。在多塵環境中使用電池時，應定期檢查電池。
